It's a New Day

Hey everyone; here I am today going to be breaking some rumours and answering some recently asked questions. The reason why I am taking it to my blog is because it would be to long for Facebook and definately to long for twitter. Here I am able to express all my opinions and not get in any trouble.

The biggest question I have been  asked was, "Why are you publishing your books so fast?" My answer would originally be, 'why not,' but when it comes down to the way I signed up for about a year ago I have to have a certain amount published in the first year. Then after the first year I can take as long as I want. I know it may sound stupid but that is exactly what happened. Right now I have seven books out and expect three more by March 2012.

Published

-Thompson Series: The Wake up Call
-Thompson Series: Revenge is Best Served Dead?
-Thompson Series: Cabaret
-Thompson Series: Mystery Men Part 1
-Off Air: The Beginning
-Off Air: The End
-So Much For My Happy Ending: sectionals Part 1

To Be Published:

Charlie (March 2012)
So Much For My Happy Ending: Sectionals Part 2 (Mid-february)
Thompson Series: Mystery Men Part 2 (March 2012)

Second Question: Why do you work with two publishers and which is better? I work with two because I have been assigned to the friesen Press. I currently have no idea how it works just yet because I haven't tried to use it. I use Lulu where if people ask I publish their books and I am an author for the site. It is one of the easiest websites to use and I love it.

To stay in the writing section: I have also talked about getting my own TV show in 2015 but so far no immediate plans have been made and wont for a while. Reason being, the series I love and have been loved by the first person I showed it too but there is really nothing to build on. (Thompson Series) I want to create something original and get out of the crime genre once the last book is up. Does not mean I will end writing the Thompson Series. For the next year I will but who knows what will happen in the future. I don't even know what I will end up doing.

I also love the episode I sent in to Bones and was THRILLED they used a few ideas with a few minor changes but like I said it was an amazing feeling.

One of the bigger Questions I will answer: What is going on with skating? I am not going to be going into very many details but in August I am going to be deciding if I am going to come back for Brossard. I have many other options that I am willing to switch too. I love St. Hubert, for me it's more ideal and closer. I have close friends who work in Boucherville. St. Lambert is near where I am almost every day and of course Repentigny my favourite place in the middle of nowhere. I love the arena and everything about it.

Now I do love Brossard as well. I have skated with this club for almost 15 years now and know and love everyone there. I guess when it gets to a point where you dont have a car and it takes you an hour or more with three buses it gets a little much. The point being its very time consuming but I am also supposed to get a license this summer (hopefully if it works out) and then I won't actually have to worry. Lately I have been skating everyday for the last few months (exception the two week vacation I had) at many arenas and the option is still left open on what I am going to do. I think about this every year but for me to actually make a move it will highly be unlikely I will leave the place I have grown up with.

Another question I got: Failing so many skating tests? Injuries? As you all may know I have been on and off with a few injuries. I am not blaming my failed skating tests on body injuries because no matter what I have always been able to perform on them. Starting three years ago now, I tore my stomach muscle and that took a few months to heal up. I came back in August 2010 and started skating again but my knees gave out (from not doing much excercise in 4-5 months) and my back which was my first injury ever started affecting me. Physiotherapist at the time (old one) told me my pelvic bone was moved out of place and my back was weak because the muscles between the vertebraes were hurting. In May, I fell really hard off the ice and ended up hurting my neck. It got to a point where it would swell up nonstop and I had trouble moving it. After a while I was feeling much better and in July 2011 I did not need to reviece physical treatments just had to keep gaining strength. That was until I fell really hard again and my neck was hit and it became so swollen that I went back to physio and was told I have whiplash and should wear a neck brace on the ice. I was okay and in August another fall on and off the ice (in the same day)  triggered another neck injury to a point I was brought to the emergency clinic (ER was to full and didn't want to wait 15 hours). The doctor gave me an xray paper to see what was going on with my neck which I still have yet to do.

I started school that week and with the injury it was pretty much the most painful start I have had. With my neck swelling up again for a few more days I decided enough was enough and I switched physiotherapists and went to a new place. My physiotherapist (i have now) and another one he works with  had to do a 3 hour evaluation on me 12:30-3:15 and concluded that my neck did not have nerve damage (being lucky after 3 neck injuries in less then six months). He gave me some workouts and they really helped and my neck was getting better without swelling spasms everytime my neck got stiff. In October 1 month before I started competing for the first time ever my knee popped out of place doing off ice training with one of my good friends. I went back to physio and was told my knee muscle was torn. We worked very hard so I could compete in November and thats where my first competition (with my knee taped) I came third place.

After that my injuries remained stable and I have to get an MRI on my neck because I get dizzy looking up or doing anything and just to be on the safe side. My knees are fine and on Friday I will find out if my stomach muscle is torn again.

So basically what I am blaming my failed skating tests on is with the competitions and trying to many different things and not focusing on one element that is what screwed me over. Now I am focusing on my dances for march. Skills and interpretive for may and maybe freestyle. Hopefully taking it slow will show better results then I have been getting the last 6 months.

Finally one last question to tackle: What are you currently training for? After I announced this VIA facebook I have been getting a lot of responses. I am currently in training to try and run a 5km run in mid september and hopefully that will lead to do "Run for the Cure" to raise money for cancer awareness. I don't know much details but when I do I will be updating.

So there you have it I have tackled a few main questions. I however did not tackle any very personal ones about Seb or anything else because either they are very important or not meant to be talked about at this time.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to writing again very soon!! XOXO
